The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 introduced the Stage 1 Core Criteria for assessing health and safety competence of contractors and consultants working in the construction industry.
There are numerous third party health and safety prequalification schemes, the majority of who are members of the SSIP Scheme who require information and assurances regarding your Health, Safety, Environmental and Competence Management Systems for a wide range of client organisations.
Once you are registered and approved, Constructionline provides information and assurances about your Health, Safety, Environmental and Competence Management Systems to your potential clients who will know that you meet minimum acceptable standards.
Whilst you may consider that the Constructionline application is time consuming and daunting, if your Company has a good robust documented Health, Safety, Environmental and Competence Management System in place it will save you management time and money completing the application, registration and submitting the required information.
Assistance & Guidance
Nobody is faultless. You may when going through the registration and submission process leave out a small piece (or pieces) of important information or you may need to amend something.
However, as part of our Safety & Assurance service your Consultant will give you the necessary assistance on what documents and information should be included in the submission from within your Management Systems. As a result of this supportive role we are proud that the return rate for initial and on-going submissions is less than one percent annually
