KenMac Associates Ltd provides Asbestos Awareness training aligned to the UKATA Type 3 syllabus, this training is delivered by competent trainers with either asbestos removal or surveying qualifications and experience.
Asbestos-related diseases are the largest cause of occupational death in the construction industry.
Despite the ban on the importation and use of crocidolite and amosite asbestos in 1985 and chysotile in 1999 the material is still commonly found in buildings built up until these dates.
As an employer you have legal obligations under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 to prevent your operatives from being exposed to airborne asbestos fibres. A number of firms have been prosecuted by the HSE in recent years for not providing operatives with suitable Asbestos Awareness training.
If you are involved in the maintenance, refurbishment or demolition of older buildings it is essential that operatives are Asbestos Awareness trained.
